Debate on Life Scripts

TEHRAN –(Iranart)- Scripts People Live: Transactional Analysis of Life Scripts,’ a self-help book by French-American psychotherapist and writer Claude Steiner (1935-2017) will be debated at a meeting at the cultural center of Book City Institute in Tehran.

The book is rendered in Persian by celebrated psychologist and psychiatrist Ali Babaeezad, 44, and translator Azadeh Sajjadinasab, 33 and is published by Avisa Publications based in Tehran, according to the website of Book City, bookcity.org.

In ‘Scripts People Live,’ Steiner argues that people are innately healthy but develop a pattern early in life based upon negative or positive influences of those around them. Thus children decide, however unconsciously, whether they will be happy or depressed, winners or failures, strong or dependent, and having decided, they spend the rest of their lives making the decision come true. For those who choose a negative script, the consequences can be disastrous unless they make a conscious decision to change, says the blurb of the book.

The meeting will be attended by the two translators of the book. It is slated for September 5 at  4:30 pm.

The cultural center of Book City Institute is located on Ahmad Qasir Street, on the corner of 3rd Alley, north of Beheshti Street.
