Exhibition of paintings featuring Qajar sites underway in Tehran

TEHRAN –(Iranart)- An exhibition of paintings featuring a number Tehran’s monuments dating back to the Qajar (1794-1925) era is currently underway at the galleries of the Saba Art and Cultural Institute in Tehran.

The gate of the National Garden, the Salute Hall in Golestan Palace, the Sahebqaranieh Palace and several other sites have been painted by Mohammad Masudi and Negin Mohtasham for the exhibition.

The showcase has been organized to represent the artistic grandeur of architecture from that period, the institute said in a press release on Sunday.

The exhibition named “From Clay to Color” will run until August 24.
