Symposium on Persian humor underway at Université du Québec

TEHRAN.(Iranart) - The Université du Québec in Canada is playing host to the First Symposium of Persian Humor.

A number of Persian satirists from around the world are attending the symposium that opened on today.

Member of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Oxford Hoamyun Katuzian, and former professor at the University of Cambridge and the University of California at Berkeley Hasan Javadi will deliver speeches at the symposium, satirist Mahmud Farjami said in a press release published on Monday. 

The director of the Center for the Study of Sadi, Kurosh Kamali Sarvestani, as well as researcher Roya Sadr are also among the scholars participating in the event that will be running until July 14.

Articles are being presented both in Persian and English.
