Austrian-Iranian Symphonic Orchestra to honor sculptor Parviz Tanavoli
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – The Austrian-Iranian Symphonic Orchestra (AISO) will honor the prominent Iranian artist Parviz Tanavoli who is mostly known for his sculptures by two performances at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on July 3 and 5.

Maziar Yunesi is scheduled to conduct the AISO, which is slated to perform a repertoire of pieces composed by himself and his fellow Iranian musicians Christophe Rezai and Peyman Yazdanian.
Born in 1937 in Tehran, Parviz Tanavoly is best known for his sculpture series “Heech” meaning “nil” in Persian. His expansive body of works includes paintings, prints, ceramics, rugs and jewelry. He is also regarded as a collector, art scholar and poet.
