Chicago hosts Iranian film festival

TEHRAN. (Iranart) – Eight Iranian films are on screen at the 29th Annual Festival of Films from Iran, which is underway at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago.

Veteran director Bahman Farmanara’s “Tale of the Sea” and “I Want to Dance”, Hooman Seyyedi’s “Sheeple” and

Mani Haqiqi’s “Pig” have been selected to screen at the festival opened on Saturday.

“Rona, Azim’s Mother”, a co-production between Afghanistan and Iran by Jamshid Mahmudi, “Sly” by Kamal Tabrizi, “Reza” by Alireza Motamedi and “Mouth Harp in a Minor Key: Hamid Naficy in/on Exile”, a documentary by Maryam Sepehri, are also among the films.

Sponsored by the Muslim American Leadership Alliance, the festival will come to an end on March 3.
