Arasbaran Pays Tribute to Painter Mohammad Bahrami

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – A rasbaran Cultural Center in Tehran is paying homage to veteran painter and graphic designer Mohammad Bahrami in an exhibition of his selected works. The exhibition opens Thursday with a collection of his paintings, miniatures and graphic arts. It will run through August 19, Iranian Visual Art News Agency reported.

 The opening ceremony will be attended by notable artists including painter and graphic designer Ali Akbar Sadeqi, painter Reza Bangiz, graphic artist Qobad Shiva, painter and sketch artist Hossein Mahjoubi, graphic designer Majid Baluch, as well as sculptor and architect Abbas Mash’hadizadeh. A commemorative stamp, issued to honor Bahrami’s lifelong dedication to art, will be unveiled.  Bahrami, 92, and some of the attending artists demand respect in their field. Some are among artists who collaborated with him when, in 1946, he opened his first atelier “Ark.”     The exhibition of Mohammad Bahrami’s works is at Gallery 1 of Arasbaran Cultural Center located on Jolfa Street, northwest of Seyed-Khandan Bridge.
