Classiques at Tehran Symphony Orchestra

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – T ehran Symphony Orchestra will play classical compositions on August 21-22 at Tehran’s iconic Vahdat Hall.

Conducted by Iranian-American composer, conductor, violinist and pianist Shahrdad Rouhani, 63, the orchestra is to perform compositions by American composer Aaron Copland (1900-1990), French composer François Adrien Boieldieu (1775-1834) and German composer and pianist Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827).

“Fanfare for the Common Man” by Copland, “Concerto for Harp and Orchestra” by Boieldieu, and “Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Opus 67” by Beethoven are in the repertoire, Honaronline reported.

Young harp player Tannaz Beygi will join the symphony and play solo harp for the Concerto for Harp and Orchestra.

Tickets to the concert are available at Iranconcert.com. Vahdat Hall is located on Shahryar Blvd., Hafez Street, south of Enqelab Avenue.
