Istanbul exhibit displays works by Iranian, Turkish artists

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – “Immortality”, a joint exhibition displaying works by 11 Iranian and 11 Turkish artists, were held at a gallery of Istanbul’s Adahan Hotel last week.

Organized by Tehran’s CAMA – Contemporary and Modern Art Gallery and the Turkish online gallery Blue Rhino Art, the exhibition was curated by the Istanbul-based Iranian artist Tima Jam.

“This exhibition tells the story of continuous rejuvenation, reincarnation and lasting existence of nature,” Jam told the Anadolu Agency in an interview published last week.

“It also reflects the continuous cycle of pieces, which are stable and unchangeable,” she added.

She also said that the exhibition was organized to express cultural unity and solidarity between Iran and Turkey.

“The exhibition presents works by Turkish and Iranian artists and I have witnessed the production process of these works, visiting all artists in their workshops,” Jam said.

Afshin Hosseinzadeh, Alireza Chamak, Ali Motamedian, Dariush Hosseini, Fatemeh Divandari, Hamid Asadi, and Reza Hosseini were among the Iranian participating artists.

The Turkish artists included Baris Saribas, Cengiz Yatagan, Dilara Matarci, Erhan Özisikli, Ferhat Salman, Gökhan Deniz and Görkem Usta.

The exhibition ran until July 8.
