Rare Dilemma

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Mehr Amphitheater, located on the premises of Hozeh Honari (Art Bureau) affiliated to the Islamic Development Organization, will host from June 28, a loose adaptation a Bertolt Brecht’s play “He Who Says Yes”.

In the play written in 1930 based on a Japanese folk tale, Brecht deals with the issue of reciprocal responsibility of society and those who live in it.

An epidemic breaks out in a remote village. A local teacher with his students embarks on a perilous journey over the rugged mountain terrain to find medicine and counseling from doctors.

During the inhospitable journey, a boy student falls sick such that neither can he continue alone nor can his comrades carry him.
