Painted Diary of a Wrestler
TEHRAN.(Iranart) - Reza Shafahi, a former wrestler, is holding a solo painting exhibition at Delgosha Gallery in Tehran until May 23.
“Diary of a Wrestler” is a collection of acrylic and oil paintings on paper and cardboard created by the self-taught artist, Mehr News Agency reported on its Persian website.
The exhibition is of the works Shafahi created since 2014 when he began his painting career.
‘’Nature, literature and poems of Khayyam, Rumi and Forough Farrokhzad, alongside the contemporary issues of the society are the sources of inspiration in my paintings,’’ the veteran wrestler says.
