Waiting for Godot
TEHRAN.(Iranart) -- P ainter Anahita Moheb-Ali is to present a series of her works based on ideas discussed in ‘Waiting for Godot,’ a seminal play written by Irish playwright, theater director, novelist and poet Samuel Beckett (1906-1989).
In the play, two characters are waiting for the arrival of someone named Godot, but he never arrives. In the paintings, Moheb-Ali has tried to picture this suspended state of waiting. She also will present portraits from Becket himself, Mehr News Agency reported.
Moheb-Ali’s solo exhibit will be held at Saye Art Gallery from January 5-10. The venue is at No. 3, Aqakhani Alley, Omidvar Street, Jamshidieh Street, Niavaran Street.
