Koohestani’s ‘Hearing’ on Stage in Lisbon
TEHRAN.(Iranart) - I ranian play ‘Hearing’ written and directed by Amir Reza Koohestani went on stage in Lisbon, December 1-2.
A production of Mehr Theater Group, the play was performed in D. Maria II National Theater in the Portuguese capital, the group’s official website reported.
Elham Korda, Mahin Sadra, Mona Ahmadi and Ainaz Azarhoush are the cast. The story of the play revolves around a girls’ dormitory and the complications they face in that environment.
Co-produced by La Batie-Festival de Geneve and BOZAR, Center for Fine Arts Brussels, Hearing has gone on stage in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Greece, Serbia and Macedonia. It is slated for another performance in Milan on February 17-18.
Koohestani, 39, studied directing and cinematography in 1995 and continued his education in the University of Manchester majoring in theater studies. He has directed over 15 plays and staged his plays in many countries.
