“The Salesman” opens first Guwahati Intl. Film Festival in India

TEHRAN – (Iranart)- The Oscar-winning movie “The Salesman” by Asghar Farhadi opened the first Guwahati International Film Festival 2017 in Assam, India on Saturday.

Six more films from Iran have been selected to be screened at the festival running until November 2, the organizers announced.

The Iranian films are “Malaria” by Parviz Shahbazi, “Daughter” by Reza Mirkarimi and “Parting”, a joint production of Iran and Afghanistan by Navid Mahmudi.

Also included are “Valderrama” by Abbas Amini, “Crazy Castle” by Abolhassan Davudi and “Nobody Dies Here” by Hossein Kondori.

The films are competing with movies from France, Ireland, Poland, UK, Spain and several other countries.
