“Slowly” wins Grand Prize at Apricot Tree festival

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Iranian director Shahram Badakhshanmehr’s documentary “Slowly” won the Grand Prize of the 3rd Apricot Tree International Ethno Film Festival (ATIEFF) in Armenia, the organizers announced on Thursday.

The film is a detailed exploration of an elderly couple’s life and their emotional relationship with their granddaughter, which shows a part of life that seems forgotten in the modern world.

“Planeta Petrila” by Andrei Dascalescu from Romania received the special jury prize in the feature documentary section of the festival, which was held in the Armenian cities of Yerevan and Ujan from October 1 to 5.

In short documentary section, “Siberian Ark” by Pavel Skorobogatov from Russia won the Grand Prize, while “Once in Summer” by Sirakan Abroyan from Armenia received the special jury prize in this category.
