Miniature Resurrected
TEHRAN. (Iranart) - I n his latest exhibition, painter and miniaturist Mohammad Mastandehi has used traditional motifs in contemporary context.
‘Resurrection’ (in Persian: Rastakhiz) is the title of Mastandehi’s exhibit to be held at Negah Gallery located at No. 64, Ghafari Street, Jam Street, Motahari Avenue in Tehran, Honaronline reported.
There are 14 paintings in the Resurrection. They are acrylic on canvas with symbolic subjects. Mastandehi is a master of figurative painting. His expertise in miniature is evident in how he renders the details of figures.
The exhibition opens October 6 and will run through October 18.
