Tributes to Nader Golchin

The Niavaran Cultural Complex played host to a special event paying tribute to the late Iranian singer Nader Golchin. Colleagues and fans attended the Friday program in the Persian Gulf Hall of the complex. The veteran vocalist died at 81 after a long battle with lung cancer at Tehran’s Gandhi Hospital. Born in the northern Iranian city of Rasht, Golchin collaborated with many distinguished musicians in the traditional Iranian music such as Faramarz Payvar, Farhang Sharif, Parviz Yahaqqi, Ali-Asghar Bahari, Jahangir Malek and Jalil Shahnaz.

Classical Singer Nader Golchin Passes Away

TEHRAN.(Iranart) - W ell-known classical singer Nader Golchin passed away in Tehran on September 22 at the age of 80. Golchin who was suffering from respiratory illness was hospitalized in Gandhi Hotel Hospital last month and died of cardiac arrest, ISNA reported.
