TEHRAN --(Iranart)- Fereidun Shahbazian, the former conductor and artistic director of Iran’s National Orchestra, was honored during a ceremony held at the Niavaran Cultural Center in Tehran on Sunday.
TEHRAN –(Iranart)- A large number of Iranian musicians have signed a petition asking the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance to repeal a new law that allows the office to take a 10-percent share of the proceeds of concerts in big cities for transfer into the state treasury.
TEHRAN –(Iranart)- Fereidun Shahbazian, the permanent conductor and artistic director of Iran’s National Orchestra, has resigned from his job in compliance with a law that bans the re-employment of retirees, the Rudaki Foundation announced on Sunday.
