San Francisco to host Iranian art show

TEHRAN. (Iranart) - The San Francisco Art Show is set to celebrate the visual arts offering American collectors, galleries and the community the opportunity to view, exhibit and purchase art from Iran.

Acclaimed photographer Arman Estepanian told Honar Online that 60 percent of profits will be donated to children’s charity.

He added, “The art show will be held in collaboration with Nikgaman-e Jamshid Charity in Tehran. The event will focus on bringing important Iranian artists to San Francisco and building awareness of Iran’s art history and culture. Farnaz Zabetian has collected the Iranian and international artworks for the show.”

According to Estepanian, in exhibit will be art by Farnaz Zabetian, Nezar Mousavinia, Morteza Khosravi, Dariush Qarehzad, Ozhan Shiravazhan, Saeid Rafiei, Vahid Chamani, Reza Seifi, Mahgameh Parvaneh, Reza Al, Elham Eshrafi, Nazanin Parviz, Kourosh Beigpour, Ahmad Mohammadpour, and Pouria Nahaei. His own works will also exhibit along with those by Christie Gordon and Kimberly d’Adamo Greene.

The three-day exhibition will open on Sunday, July 25. Some 60 percent of the sale proceeds will go to the charity, with the rest for artists.
