Iranian photographers shortlisted for AIPS Sport Media Awards
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Iranian photographers Amin-Mohammad Jamali, Maryam Majd and Naeim Ahmadi are among the finalists of the first edition of the AIPS Sport Media Awards from Asia and Oceania, the organizers have announced.
The awards will be presented in various categories, including audio, blog, photography, video and writing during a ceremony in Lausanne, Switzerland on January 21.
Adel Ferdowsipur, the host of “90”, Iran’s most popular TV program on soccer, has been also shortlisted for the best video documentary section.
Iranian journalists Azadeh Pirakuh, Shokufeh Sadat Musavi and Behnaz Mirmotaharian and blogger Hamidreza Zirakdidar have also received nominations at the competition.
The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Sport Media Awards, which is the highest international accolade in the sport media industry, will be awarded to the best sports writers across all media platforms from five continents.
