“Look Protest” from Iran wins FIAP bronze medal at Bulgarian photo contest

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Iranian photographer Davud Akbarzadeh Abkenar has won FIAP bronze medal for his photo “Look Protest” at the Fifth International Photo Salon Plovdiv in Bulgaria.

He received the honor in the photojournalism category, the organizers have announced.

A jury composed of Marco Bartolini from Italy, Petar Abadjiev, Dimitrina Andreeva, Alexander Ivanov and Velichka Todorova, all from Bulgaria, were the members of the jury headed by Romain Nero from Luxembourg.

Sona Moayedzadeh from Iran also received a FIAP honorable mention in the Nature section for her “1 Light Gap” while her fellow photographer Ahmad Khatiri won a PSA honorable mention for “Balance” in the My Town category.

In addition, Iranian photographer Ali Samei received an Incentive Diploma for his “Black Life”.

The Focus Photo Club Iran won the Plaque for the Most Sustainable Photo Club for its active participation in the event for five consecutive years.

The winning photos were selected from among 944 photographs of 282 participants from 49 countries.
