TEHRAN.(Iranart) - Concurrent with ‘Empire of Roses,’ an exhibit of Qajar art at the museum of Louvre-Lens in northern France, a meeting will be held at Sa’dabad Cultural Complex in northern Tehran.
Organized by the Research Department of the cultural complex, the meeting is slated for Thursday at 3 pm. Fine Art Museum of the complex will host the event, according to Tandismag.com
Two art scholars will speak. Ceramist, calligrapher, art historian, lecturer and author Kianoosh Motaqedi will present a review of the Qajar art exhibit ongoing in the city of Lens. The event is the first retrospective art exhibit in Europe dedicated to art of the Qajar era (1786-1925). ‘Empire of Roses: Masterpieces of 19th Century Art’ will run through July 23.
