TEHRAN –(Iranart)- A group exhibition of urban photography is underway at three art galleries in Tehran.
The galleries of Hepta, Not and Theme are displaying photos of Tehran as a joint project titled “Confrontation”.
A total of seven artists have contributed to the event, presenting the outcome of an experimental venture concerning the metropolis, ISNA reported.
The exhibition is curated by photographer, theoretician and graphic artist, Roham Shiraz. It opened on May 4 and will run through May 16.
Contributing artists are Amir Alimi, Parastou Ibn-Ali, Mahsa Behdadi-Mehr, Hedieh Jamshidian, Hamid Hakkaki, Parisa Golshani and Catrin Maleki-Nazari. Roham Shiraz set Tehran as an experimental ground for the invited artists. He encouraged them to take a fresh look at the city, explore its visual potentials and present associated concepts.
