Painting Exhibition by Acclaimed Poet
TEHRAN – (Iranart)- Celebrated Persian poet and writer Ahmad-Reza Ahmadi is to open his first painting exhibition on April 27 at Cama Art Gallery in Tehran.
Bearing the name of one of his popular books ‘Thousands of Robinias Are Nothing in Your Eyes’, the event will display 60 watercolor works, Honaronline reported on its Persian website.
According to Mona Khosh-Eqbal, the gallery manger, the watercolors are minimal, following the same style as that of his poems.
Ahmadi, 77, is also a pioneer of surrealism in children’s literature. His writing is said to be unique in the way he creatively combines poetic and prose structures. His poems have been translated into many languages including Arabic, Armenian, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Korean.
Ahmadi has received many awards and recognitions for his works during his career.
Cama Art Gallery is located at No. 44, 10th Golestan Street on Pasdaran Street.
