TEHRAN. (Iranart) - Akira Kurosawa’s famous feudal epic ‘Kagemusha’ will have one screening on April 9 at the Iranian Artists Forum, Tiwall reported.
Meaning shadow warrior in Japanese, Kagemusha is a term used to denote a political decoy. The 1980 action drama film of the Japanese director presents the tale of a thief with an utter resemblance to a samurai warlord who is hired as the lord’s double. When the warlord dies the thief is forced to take up arms in his place.
