4 Illustrators Will Show Works at Bologna Children’s Fair
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – F our Iranian illustrators have been selected for the Illustrators Exhibition of Bologna Children Book Fair, March 26-29 in Bologna, Italy.
Hassan Amekan, Reza Dalvand, Amir Sha’banipour and Alireza Goldouzian are the illustrators from Iran in the shortlist published on the website of the book fair.
The jurors Anastasia Arkhipova from Russia, Peggy Espinosa from Mexico, William Grill, Allyn Johnston from the US and Bernd Mölck-Tassel from Germany evaluated the artworks submitted by more than 3000 illustrators and selected 77 works from 25 countries.
Works of all the artists in the list are to be presented at the exhibition, which will be organized at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. After the Bologna program the exhibition will continue on a world tour that will take the works to Japan and China.
The works will also be published in the well-known Illustrators Annual, published in Italian, English, Japanese and Chinese, and distributed to publishers across the globe.
According to the festival website, participants aged under 35 will be introduced for the International Illustration Award of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. A $15,000 grant will be awarded to the winner which will fund him/her to create a book published by the Spanish publisher Grupo SM. Further, the winner will be given the opportunity to hold a personal exhibition during the next edition of Bologna Book Fair.
