TEHRAN.(Iranart) – F arshchian Museum in Sa’dabad Cultural Complex in north Tehran will hold a free workshop on Iranian school of miniature. The museum houses over 50 miniatures created by master of miniature painting Mahmoud Farshchian, 88.
It holds monthly events to promote miniature painting in collaboration with specialists in miniature and page illumination, Chtn.ir, a website on cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism, reported. The workshop, slated for Wednesday, will be conducted by miniaturist Bahman Sharifi, 51, who has been painting for over 30 years. He is also proficient in illumination, real and hyper real painting and character design. The workshop will deal with miniature techniques including those on brush strokes. A meeting of experts and a Q&A session will be held on the sidelines of the event.
