4th Award of Tehran to be held within days
TEHRAN.(Iranart) - 4th Award of Tehran will be held on Wednesday January 3 to commemorate Tehran's artists and art researchers and enhance students’ knowledge of artistic, social, historical and cultural heritage of the province.
Mehrshad Kazemi from the Culture and Islamic Guidance Office of Tehran and who is in charge of holding the festival, said that the festival “will be held in two different sections. The artistic section is related to the issue of Plasco building incident and the terrorist attack on the parliament. In this part, four artists in each of the documentary fields, Photos and news and information will be selected.”
Kazemi, added “in the second part, which is allocated to research activities, three of the top art researchers, news photographers, top theses will be awarded.”
Kazemi expressed his hope that the festival will pave the way for more cultural activities and increase the social capital of Tehran.
He said the festival will be held on Wednesday January 3 at Iran Humanities Scholars House.
