Portraits of Iranian Musicians at e1 Art Gallery

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – A photo collection by Maryam Zandi will be on display at e1 Art Gallery in Tehran from December 22. The event will also mark the unveiling ceremony of Zandi’s new book ‘Portraits 5, A Portfolio of Iranian Musicians’, Honaronline reported.

Zandi’s portraits of Iranian musicians, taken between 2001 and 2017, have been printed in the book. There are portraits of artists who passed away over the years. All the photos are black and white and the 300-page book covers 120 portraits. Born in Gorgan, Golestan Province, Zandi, 70, is a member of the board of directors in National Iranian Photographer’s Society and the first chairperson of the organization. She is a graduate of law from University of Tehran. The veteran artist has already published four books of her photography collections including: Portraits 1, A Portfolio of Iranian Contemporary Literature; Portraits 2, A Portfolio of Iranian Contemporary Painters; Portraits 3, A Portfolio of Iranian Contemporary Film and Theater Artists; and Portraits 4, A Portfolio of Iranian Contemporary Literature 2. The photo exhibit will run through December 29 at e1 Gallery located at No. 1, Hamid Dead-end, Lesani Alley, Jebheh St., Mahdieh St., Elahiyeh neighborhood. Those interested can visit every day except Saturdays from 4 to 8 pm.
