Art festival in Tehran and Paris next year

TEHRAN.(Iranart) - Aliha Art Gallery in Tehran is organizing the Iranian Art Festival, an independent international visual art event, for the winter.

The festival has called for submission of paintings and photographs, calligraphic paintings and photo paintings, Honaronline reported.

Works should be submitted online to http://artfestivals.ir until December 8. They will be evaluated from Dec. 9-19 be judged first by the people via a polling robot on Telegram social network and then by the festival jury whose members are from among curators and gallery managers. There is no limitation on theme or subject. A photo, for instance, can be a portrait, a natural scene, a social documentary or even show the night sky.

After evaluation, the festival will call for the original versions of the selected works. Digital arts or the works created as digital files will be printed in collaboration with the artists and under European standards. Selected works will be put on display first at Aliha Gallery and later at Persiana Cultural and Artistic Society in Paris.

The Tehran exhibition will be in two phases. From January 5-11, selected paintings will be shown. Photos are to be displayed next from January 12-18. Aliha Gallery is located at No. 31, Ahmadi Moqaddam Alley, Ramezanian Alley, Mahrouzadeh St., Shariati Ave.

After the event in Tehran works will be sent to Paris where they will be displayed from February 13 to March 6.

As the works will be posted to France, there are some limitations concerning shipment. They should not exceed 100 cm nor be smaller than 30 cm. Works such as calligraphy should not be rendered on the materials that would hinder shipment; steel boxes or plates, glass and mirror, weaved structures and the likes  will cause problems if shipped along other works.
