Cartoon exhibit puts highlight on Persian Gulf

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – “The Persian Gulf Forever”, an exhibition of cartoons in protest against U.S. President Donald Trump’s use of “Arabian Gulf” rather than “Persian Gulf” will open in Tehran’s Art Bureau today.

The exhibit features 55 works by cartoonists from different cities nationwide, director of the Visual Center of the bureau Masud Shojaei-Tabatabai announced in a press release published on Sunday.

Iranians have responded with anger to Trump after his Friday speech.

The works will later appear on billboards across the capital Tehran in collaboration with the Tehran Municipality’s Beautification Organization.

The exhibit will be running until October 25 at the bureau located on Somayyaeh St., off Hafez Ave.
