Memorial Photos
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – A collection of photos by Vahid Sohrabi Abad (1989-2017) will be on display in a memorial exhibition starting today till October 3 at Tabestan Gallery of Iranian Artists Forum.
The collection ‘Island’ includes 15 pieces of the last photos taken by the artist in Hormuz Island, an Iranian island in Persian Gulf, ISNA reported.
Sohrabi learned photography by his own experience and started the work professionally at the age of 17. He shifted his focus to documentary photography in 2013 and lived the last years of his life on Hormuz Island. In 2010, he won a prize at the Iranian Festival of Image of the Year.
