TEHRAN.(Iranart) - G raphic designs of innovative Iranian artist Parisa Tashakori are on display at Brick City Galleries in Missouri, US.
Titled ‘Parisa Tashakori: Graphic Design,’ the exhibit opened September 1 and will run thought October 6. It features thought provoking posters and graphic arts by the prolific art director and graphic designer.
Born in Tehran, Tashakori, 44, holds a master’s degree in graphic design. She has collaborated as designer and art director for several international advertising agencies and cultural institutions. She was a member of the board of Iranian Graphic Designers Society (IGDS) from 2012 to 2015 and has received an honorary doctorate from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
Her works have been exhibited in over 70 national and international exhibitions in Iran, Taiwan, Italy, Ukraine, Bolivia, the US, Russia, Belgium, Slovakia, Finland, France, Poland, Switzerland and Mexico, and have received several awards.
Tashakori was a jury member at national and international competitions and festivals like Samsung International Poster Competition in Turkey, 13th Poster Biennial in Mexico, Biennale of Poster Bolivia 2017 and Silver Cypress in Tehran.
