“Arms and the Man” on stage at Tehran theater
TEHRAN. (Iranart) – George Bernard Shaw’s 1894 play “Arms and the Man” went on stage at the Neauphle-le-Château Theater in Tehran with an Iranian troupe performing.
Rasul Qaderi is the director of the play, which is about Raina Petkoff, a young Bulgarian woman, who tries to save a Swiss mercenary soldier in the Serbian army, during the 1885 Serbo-Bulgarian War.
Hamidreza Rokni, Majid Vaziri, Tina Aqelnejad and Negin Ghaffari are the main members of the cast for the play, which will be on stage until December 29.
