TEHRAN.(Iranart) - M edia and Social Network Cultural Center will host a stage reading of renowned German playwright Bertolt Brecht’s ‘Mr Puntila and His Man Matti’ on December 16 at 7 pm.
The story describes the aristocratic land owner Puntila’s relationship with Matti, his servant and driver as well as his daughter Eva, who he wants to marry off to an attaché. Eva herself loves Matti. Puntila has to decide whether to agree with his daughter’s marriage with his driver or the attaché, while also struggling with a drinking problem.
Mikaeel Shahrestani, Saeed Parsa, Zahra Ahmadi, Bahador Bastan-Haq, Samira Ilca, Mahdi Arjmand, Shirin Farkhondehnejad, Pante’a Pakzad, Masoumeh Esmi, Sima Haqqi, Abouzar Farhadi, Hasti Moslemzadeh and Alireza Akhavan will be reading the roles under Shahrestani’s direction, Tiwall.com reported. The cultural center is at Qaba Square, Nateq-Nouri St., Pasdaran neighborhood.
