TEHRAN.(Iranart) - 1000 Whips,’ a play written by celebrated playwright, theater director and researcher Nasser Habibian, is on stage at Iranshahr Theater by director Ehsan Maleki.
The play will run through September 26. It is an innovative account of Iran’s contemporary history from the view point of a 300-year-old horse named ‘Korang,’ Tiwall reported. In the cast are Masoud Shakarami, Mohammad Sediqimehr, Saeed Zare, Davoud Moinikia and Elaheh Zahmati. They recount the story of Korang from the beginning to the end of the Qajar era (1785-1925). The play starts at 9 pm. Iranshahr Theater is located on North Mousavi Street, Taleqani Avenue.
