National Orchestra Featuring Salar Aqili

TEHRAN. (Iranart) - I ran National Orchestra, featuring traditional singer Salar Aqili, will perform two concerts on September 5 at Milad Tower in Tehran.

Concerts are slated at 7 and 10 pm and will be conducted by veteran composer Fereydoun Shahbazian, IRNA reported. Tickets are available at the website of Iran Concert (iranconcert.com).

The orchestra will perform a selection of traditional Iranian pieces such as ‘Tabriz in fog’, ‘Hanieh’, ‘Shokouh-e-Gol’ (glory of flower), ‘Negara’, ‘Afsoun-e-Sokhan’ (magic of words), ‘Az Tanhaee Gerye Makon’ (shed no tears of loneliness), ‘Golrokh’ (flower face), ‘Charkh-e-Falak’ (wheel of heavens), ‘Norouz Song’, ‘Iran’, and ‘Khoushechin’ (poor people who collect leftover crops after harvest).

The pieces have been rehearsed at Vahdat Hall and will be presented at the conference hall of the iconic Milad Tower. Usually observable from every corner in Tehran, the tower is located between four expressways Hemmat, Chamran, Hakim and Sheikh-Fazlollah.
