Youth Music
TEHRAN.(Iranart) - he 11th edition of the National Festival of Youth Music from August 30-September 18 will be held at Roudaki Hall.
A total of 500 musicians will participate, including singers and players. They will compete in three sections of the festival: ‘dastgah’ or musical modal system in traditional Persian music and old melodic figures or ‘radif’s ; classical music, and ethnic music, Honaronline reported. Most of the participants wills use the santur, setar, ney, kamancheh, daf, dotar, piano, guitar and violin. Participants are in three age groups: 15-18; 19-23; and 24-29. Roudaki Hall is located on Shahryar Blvd, Hafez Street, south of Enqelab Avenue.
