TEHRAN.(Iranart) – The Andreyev State Russian Orchestra in St. Petersburg is scheduled to perform a repertoire of pieces by Iranian composer Keivan Saket during a concert next week.
The concert will be held at the St. Petersburg State Capella Concert Hall on December 2, said Saket who will accompany the orchestra during the performance that will be conducted by Dmitry Hochlov.
“This is the second time I have been invited to perform in St. Petersburg,” he noted and added, “I will perform in the orchestra as a tar soloist.”
Pieces have been selected for the repertoire to present the nature of Iranian music, he stated.
Saket is scheduled to leave Tehran for St. Petersburg tomorrow to join the rehearsals for the concerts, which will begin on Thursday.
