Tehran Symphony Orchestra to Perform at Vahdat Hall

TEHRAN. (Iranart) – T ehran Symphony Orchestra, the oldest and largest ensemble in Iran, conducted by Iranian-American composer, violinist and pianist Shahrdad Rohani is to hold a concert on September 6 at Vahdat Hall in Tehran.

The repertoire includes the memorable piece “Nineveh” composed by celebrated composer and tar and setar virtuoso Hossein Alizadeh as well as overture of Bridge by Mehran Rohani, and Suite Symphony of Life jointly composed by Abbas Alavi and Hossein Kaj, Mehr News Agency reported. Also included in the repertoire is a guitar concerto composed by Amir Mahmoudi in which Ashkan Oqbaei will be the guitar soloist as well as an elegy for violin and orchestra composed by Ali Birang. Pedram Far-Yousefi will be the violin soloist in the piece. Vahdat Hall is located on Shahryar Blvd., Hafez Street, south of Enqelab Avenue.
