TEHRAN.(Iranart) – The Baku Symphonic Orchestra will give a concert under the baton of its Iranian conductor Vahid Alipur at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on August 14.
Iranian violinist Amin Ghaffari will also accompany the orchestra with a repertoire of pieces by Pablo de Sarasate, Charles-Camille Saint-Saens, Fikret Amirov and several other renowned composers.
According to Ghaffari, the orchestra was established by Alipur in Baku in 2015 with young musicians from Azerbaijan.
The Tehran concert is part of a concert tour, which began from Bojnurd in North Khorasan Province last month. The orchestra is scheduled to give performances in several other Iranian cities in the near future.
