Khorasan Music at Roudaki
TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Ethnic music from Khorasan region will be heard Saturday night at Roudaki Hall.
The concert is the third and last performance by the three ensembles -- Saba, Simorgh and Zhendepil -- representing the ethnic music of Khorasan (North Khorasan, South Khorasan and Khorasan Razavi provinces), ILNA reported on its Persian website.
Titled “Khorasan’s Sound of Loneliness in Tehran,” the event is organized by the Iranian Art Enthusiasts Institute and includes a ceremony to honor the living legend Osman Mohammad-Parast, the veteran dotar virtuoso.
An earlier event of Khorasan music was scheduled on March 5-9 hosted by the House of Human Sciences Thinkers in Tehran. The event was not well received by the people as many seats remained unoccupied and was cancelled.
