TEHRAN (Iranart) - A cclaimed musician, composer and orchestra conductor Nasser Cheshmazar will perform with an orchestra of 80 instrumentalists at Vahdat Hall.

Cheshmazar, 65, and Istgah Orchestra will appear at the iconic hall on March 14-15 to present repeat performances of ‘Nostalgia’, the concert held on Sept. 14 at the same venue.

The conductor is one of the most acclaimed faces in the world of music and a pioneer in combining Iranian music with western electric instruments. He has released 10 albums and cooperated with famous pop singers Hami, Mohammad Esfahani, Qasem Afshar and Mohammad Reza Eyvazi in their albums. Cheshmazar has composed scores for over 20 films, including ‘Hamoun’ by Dariush Mehrjoui (1990), ‘Candle in the Wind’ by Pouran Derakhshandeh (2003) and ‘Superstar’ by Tahmineh Milani (2009) and won the Crystal Simorgh award at Fajr International Film Festival twice for composing music for ‘Poisonous Mushroom’ in 2002 and ‘Devil’s Eye’ in 1993.
