Fusion Band Charity Performance
TEHRAN –(Iranart)- Fusion band Nioosh will perform at the weekend at Mahak charity hospital and rehabilitation complex in Darabad neighborhood, north Tehran.
Like earlier performances, the concerts will feature pieces that merge rock, folk and traditional music, Honaronline reported.
The proceeds from the concerts go for supporting cancer children.
Nioosh is led by Arash Qahremanlou. His brother Soroush is the vocalist of the band. Soroush also plays the setar. He has a modified electric setar which is a unique instrument. The electric version of setar was first built by tar and setar virtuoso Abdollah Alijani.
“Cancer-stricken children will be among the audience of the event,” Soroush said.
Keykavus Mokhtari will play the piano. Arash Ard-Foroushan plays electric, acoustic and 12-string guitars. Sohrab Fat’halizadeh is on percussion and drums.
