Schiller Band Will Perform in March

TEHRAN –(Iranart)- German electronic band Schiller, led by Christopher von Deylen, will return to Iran to perform a series of concerts at the Ministry of Interior Auditorium in Tehran starting March 4.

Schiller was first invited last December for two performances but as the tickets  were sold out soon, his concert was extended for three more nights, Honaronline wrote.

According to Mehdi Kashi and Mostafa Kabiri, the event organizers from Tehran-based cultural institute of Nay-o-Ney, the upcoming performances are slated for March 4-6, in which the band will cover a repertoire of memorable pieces plus some new tracks.

Schiller, named after the German poet and dramatist Friedrich Schiller, was formed by Christopher von Deylen and Mirko von Schlieffen in 1998. Their first single ‘Glockenspiel’ was a great success in Germany. Around 2002, von Schlieffen left the band, leaving von Deylen the sole member.

Von Deylen does not provide any vocals for Schiller productions himself. Vocals are sung by guest artists. For the Tehran concert he will only do the instruments.

Tickets are available at Tik8.com.
