Kurdish Group to Perform for Quake Victims

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – K urdish music band Arshavir will perform on November 21 at Vahdat Hall in Tehran to support the people of Kermanshah Province following the 7.3-magnitude earthquake on November 12 in the border regions.

The killer quake shook the western province of Kermanshah and the regions bordering Iraq. It cut short the lives of 436 people and injured 9,400. The natural disaster has left thousands homeless and in urgent need of support.

Proceeds from the concert will go for alleviating the pain and misery of the quake-stricken people, Mehr News Agency reported.

Arshavir is led by composer and vocalist Farshad Rostami. Singers of the upcoming performance are Mohammad Reza Darabi, Jamshid Azizkhani, Hesam Lornejad and Fo’ad Hosseini.

Charity boxes will be placed at the venue of the concert to collect donations. Organizers of the event are the cultural institute of ‘Forough-e Falaq’ (light of dawn) and Roudaki Foundation.

Vahdat Hall is located on Shahryar Blvd., Hafez Street, south of Enqelab Avenue.
