raphic designer Ashkan Qazanchai is to conduct a training workshop on poster design. TEHRAN (Iranart) – ‘Idea and Practice’ is the title of the workshop. It is a three-day event for those who already have some experience in poster design, online visual art magazine Roozrang (roozrang.com) reported.
The workshop is an introductory course explaining the process of cultivating an idea and the following steps in the design of a poster.
There is no fee for the workshop. It will accept up to 20 applicants. To be admitted, enthusiasts can send three of the posters they have designed earlier to email@example.com.
July 9 is the deadline for submission of the posters. The posters should be in A6 size and in jpg format.
‘Idea and Practice’ will run from July 12-14 at Niavaran Cultural Center, starting at 9 am and ending at 4 pm.
A number of posters will be created in the workshop. They will be displayed to the public in a group exhibition later. Participants whose works are evaluated as the best will be recommended to art groups and companies for graphic design projects.
Ashkan Qazanchai, 41, is also a lecturer and a photographer. He is a member of Iranian Graphic Designers Society and has been teaching graphic design for a decade. He was honored at the 3rd Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts in 2011 and at the poster competition of the 30th Fajr International Theater Festival in 2012.
