TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Iranian children’s book writer Mojgan Kalhor’s “The Fisherman and Spring” has recently been published in English in Tehran.
Illustrated by Nazanin Abbasi, the book has been translated into Persian by Siamak Mazlumi, the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA), the publisher of the book, announced on Sunday.
The book tells the story of a fisherman who lives in a snowy region with a very long winter. Fisherman supposes that the spring has lost its way to the region, therefore he starts searching for it. A little fish and a group of birds also join him in searching for the spring.
An animated adaptation of the book directed by Seyyed Hassan Soltani was produced by IIDCYA in early 2018.
