TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Pseudonymous Italian novelist Elena Ferrante’s 2013 book “The Story of a New Name” has recently been published in Persian by Lega Publications in Tehran.

Translated by Farideh Guyandeh, the book is the second of the four-book series of Neapolitan Novels, which are among Ferrante’s best known works.

The series’ first book “My Brilliant Friend” has previously been published by the same firm.

The series also includes “Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay” and “The Story of the Lost Child”.

It follows the lives of two intelligent girls, Elena and Raffaella, from childhood to adulthood and old age, as they try to create lives for themselves amidst the violent and stultifying culture of their home, a poor neighborhood on the outskirts of Naples, Italy.
