Writer of ‘Three Pagan Priests’ Wins Eurasia Prize

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – Iranian writer Majid Qeysari received the literary 2018 Eurasia Prize for his book “Three Pagan Priests”.

Eurasia Prize is an annual event held in Russia by the Association of Eurasian Artistic Creations with the purpose of strengthening cultural interaction between the regional nations.

“Three Pagan Priests” has been published in Russian by the Tehran-based publishing house Sadra, Mehr News Agency reported. Originally published in Persian in 2013, the book is a story about three pagan priests who are said to have tried to harm Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when he was a child. Halima, the foster mother of the prophet, is informed of their ill intention and saves the prophet’s life.
