Culture minister, Japanese ambassador meet in Tehran

TEHRAN.(Iranart) – The Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Abbas Salehi, and Japanese Ambassador Hiroyasu Kobayashi meet in Tehran, the ministry announced in a press release published on Sunday.

The expansion of cultural relations between Iran and Japan was discussed at the meeting.

Salehi called the Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) a good opportunity for the two nations to get to know more about their cultures and civilizations. 

China and Japan will be TIBF special guest countries in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Salehi said that the cultural relations can add more to the historical ties between the two countries.

The ambassador also on his part said that his country is eager to attend the Tehran International Book Fair as a guest country.

He said that he is happy that he has been working in Iran as an ambassador. 

He also said that the two countries are progressing their bilateral relations, adding that Iran’s culture ministry has a wide variety of activities and its guides are required for the expansion of relations between the two countries.
